Adam Deacon, Director of Hodge Bakshi Wealth Management in Cardiff, is a professional Independent Financial Planner and Wealth Manager, helping families and businesses to understand and achieve their financial dreams whilst also helping to ensure financial security in the event of the unthinkable. Adam joined the financial services industry in 2009 after being unable to follow his initial dream of becoming a Pilot in the Royal Air Force and quickly gained a wealth of experience and qualifications which would set him on the path to becoming a qualified Independent Financial Adviser.

In 2016, Adam decided to give up a role within one of the UK’s largest Independent Financial Advice businesses in order to join and take over the running of Hodge Bakshi Wealth Management, a small IFA practice in Whitchurch, Cardiff. In this time Adam has recruited and trained a team to support and grow the business in a way that allows the focus to remain firmly on the client and their needs, helping them to achieve the best possible outcomes. Being recognised for excellence in the field of Retirement Planning, Adam was nominated for, and later finalist for, the Young Retirement Planner of the Year award in 2017.

Startup Grind’s mission is to educate, inspire, and connect — ultimately helping every entrepreneur in the world. We want to do the type of work we are proud of. We want to produce work that helps others, even if it’s only in a small way.
