Female Leaders Month Presenting
Presenting Kiki Farr and Leanne Eustace Book Now
Our attendees always enjoy attending an evening of Education, Inspiration and Networking.
One purpose of our May events is to tell the stories of the journey, the grind, and the setbacks of great female leaders. From Lagos, Nigeria to Detroit, Michigan. From Mexico City to Hong Kong. Over 100 Startup Grind chapters in more than 25 countries will host events as part of our #SGWomen Female Leaders Campaign.
They are the women who exemplify profound leadership skills, hard-work, humility, and success and demonstrate their strength with devotion to the work they do everyday. They encourage and inspire us all.
It is important that we recognize, listen to and encourage these women as we work toward building a more inclusive ecosystem. Anyone and everyone who believes in our mission to work toward change — men and women alike — should come out to an event in May.

Startup Grind’s mission is to educate, inspire, and connect — ultimately helping every entrepreneur in the world. We want to do the type of work we are proud of. We want to produce work that helps others, even if it’s only in a small way.

Our second speaker is Leanne Eustace of AccountedFor.
Leanne Eustace, left school at 16 with 11 GCSE’s. She had jobs as a waitress and shop assistant before taking a job as a general office assistant at a local firm. She worked for a while in the marketing department and was asked to help out in accounts as the company was short staffed. She fell in love with accounts and asked to be moved there permanently. She started at the bottom as an ‘account’s assistant’s assistant.’
She asked to be put on AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) training scheme, but the company couldn’t afford to fund the training and nor could she.
Leanne then moved to Cardiff and discovered a private college that offered subsided AAT training, if you worked in an accounts department. She got a job as a purchase ledger clerk on the proviso and they offered her the AAT training. She did this in her own time, in the evenings and weekends, meanwhile working up the career ladder.
She worked her way up from Purchase ledger, to management accountant to financial controller, and meanwhile the college where she was still studying offered her an opportunity to teach accountancy qualification – which she did for two years.
In 2006, she set up her own business. Accounted for Ltd. It was set up as a joint enterprise with her husband, Lee, and got it’s first regular contract in May 2007. By 2008, the company had exceeded the Eustace’s growth forecasts by three times. In 2011, Leanne won ‘Best woman in Financial services and Accountancy’ in the Welsh Women mean business awards. She has some words of advice for other young people thinking of setting up their own business – ‘If you want to do it, and you’re determined and focused enough and work hard, you can. It’s been tough, but it’s been incredibly rewarding!’
