Our keynote speaker is Sophia Wu
SOPHIA TALK’S IS ENTITLED: A FORGOTTEN JOURNEY TO THE UK – PERSONAL STORIES OF CHINESE ASYLUM SEEKERS IN THE UK.
Sophia is also a proud mother of two children and a happy resident of Cardiff. She works as a self-employed digital marketer and an Mandarin-English interpreter in Law.
Sophia also works as an interpreter in an immigration solicitors office in Cardiff in the last two years. Her main clients were Chinese asylum seekers. Each single one of them has the same copy-and-paste story about how they arrived in the UK.
Listening to their stories, she discovered the real truth of why they are living here as asylum seekers. She is going to talk about her experience in this context.
