Our keynote speaker is Marianna Marks, has spent the past 14 years promoting the manufacturing and technology industry here in Wales and the rest of the UK..

Having worked with several blue-chip organisations including BT, Sanlam Private Investments, Diageo, Consol Glass, British Waterways, Swansea University, Finance Wales, Welsh Government and the Miss Universe organisation as well as numerous small and medium electronics, software and technology companies, Marianna believes her core skill is the ability to understand the expertise clients apply to the benefit of their customers and interpret this for various target audiences in order to help them grow.

Marianna has extensive experience in both mainstream and trade media cutting her teeth in the Marketing Department at the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation and has worked in the private and public sectors in her home country of Namibia, before relocating and working in consultancies in Cape Town, South Africa and then Cardiff.

Based in Cardiff, Marianna runs her own consultancy, M and M Communications and is part of a network of independent PR and marketing practitioners who call on each other to provide specialist support to organisations across the UK.

The skills available through this network include media and stakeholder relations, digital marketing, training and mentoring programmes, crisis communications and launch and event management.

Marianna is a passionate sports fan and spends her free time gardening and coming up with novel ways to engage more young people to write and embrace science, technology, maths and engineering.
